"Welcome to the POD!"
Dear Players
The entire White Rock Whalers Junior Hockey Club organization would like to welcome you to the program!
Reflecting on last season, we are very proud of the success we achieved as Tom Shaw Conference Champions and Stonehouse Cup finalists. Our compete level was strong, and we had a very exciting run for the cup. That said, we have some unfinished business to attend to this season and have high expectations for the team. We are looking forward to the 2022/23 season to capitalize on last year’s success and take the team to the next level, and we are excited for you to be part of it.
Our first regular season game is scheduled for Thursday, September 15th vs the Surrey Knights at 7:00 PM at the North Surrey Rec Centre. Our home opener is Saturday, September 17th vs the Ridge Meadows Flames at 7:30 PM at Centennial Arena.
We look forward to you playing an integral role on the team. Whalers are a program with high integrity committed to excellence both on and off the ice, and one that illustrates an exemplary work ethic and team spirit!
The Whalers program demonstrates high standards on and off the ice and in the community! We have a strong commitment to community engagement through player participation in events that provide opportunities to demonstrate leadership and accountability while at the same time providing a platform for team-building and fun. Working closely with local Minor Hockey Associations is a high priority for our team! We show leadership through our integration with charitable programs such as KidSport, a charitable organization under Sport BC whose mission is to remove the financial barriers that prevent some children from playing organized sport. The Whalers program will work earnestly to make your experience rich and rewarding.
We are honoured that you chose our program to continue your hockey development and life experience as we build on the successes from last season and move into our 5th year in developing a winning tradition in White Rock!
Welcome to the Pod!
Sincerely,
Ronnie Paterson, President
Jason Rogers, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations
