The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week ending Feb. 12

Chris Fortems F, White Rock Whalers

Whalers captain Chris Fortems wanted to make history on two fronts with three strong periods of play on Feb 12.

First, he could become the Pacific Junior Hockey League’s (PJHL) top scorer; second, he also could establish a new league record for assists.

It was the best of times in a tale of two Travises – Whalers defenceman Dylan Travis and forward Travis Smythe – during the regular season’s penultimate weekend.

Whaler Zac Sherwin scored and added four assists against Delta Jan. 28. The talented centreman now leads the PJHL in points with 81 (tied alongside linemate Chris Fortems).
