Whalers Team Up With White Rock Legion 008

Connor Beemish and Jonothan Holloway team up with White Rock Legion member Doug during this year's Poppy drive at Home Depot Surrey (White Rock).

For the third year running, your White Rock Whalers partnered up with the White Rock Legion #008 to sell poppies in the lead up to Remembrance Day. The proceeds of every poppy extends the Legion’s Poppy Fund, which helps to make charitable donations to local services in the area.

As always, the White Rock Whalers are excited, as well as proud, to get involved in the local community. Our friends at Legion #008 under the leadership from Gail Green, Chris & Carol Voisey are a staple of community involvement and every year never fail to raise money for important causes.

A special thanks to the Morgan Crossing locations of Home Depot Surrey (White Rock) and Walmart Surrey South Supercentre for providing space for this year's Poppy drive.

A nod of recognition as well for our players for helping out and volunteering their time with this important service. Thank you to Josten Hu, Kai Hughes, Joseph Iannacone, Butch La Roue, Sam Dowell, Bryce Margetson, Chris Fortems, Matt Burry, David Moody, Connor Beemish, Jonothan Holloway, Gianni Lattanzio, Tyler Rogers, Keegan Maddocks, Ryden Mathieson and our captain Tyler Price.

Lest We Forget.
