Whalers With Back-To-Back Home Games This Week

After a tough loss to the Richmond Sockeyes on September 16th, the White Rock Whalers are sitting at a 2-1 record to start the season.

This weekend, the team faces a doubleheader with the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers and Richmond Sockeyes coming to town.

The Whalers kick it off against Port Coquitlam Trailblazers on Saturday night, who are starting the season off at 0-3. Former Whalers Ty Fletcher and Brendan Housden return to Centennial Arena for the first time since becoming Trailblazers. This week, former goalie Evan Paul was also traded to Port Coquitlam, but it is unknown if he will play on Saturday.

Sunday, the Whalers have a matinee matchup against the undefeated Richmond Sockeyes, who are sitting at 4-0. With Richmond currently being the highest scoring team with 26 goals already to start the season, White Rock’s going to need to crack down on the Sockeye’s offence if they’re wanting redemption.
