The Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL) is dialed in for the upcoming 2022 Winter Classic Showcase in Richmond, BC.

The Pod lost back-to-back matchups against the North Vancouver Wolf Pack on Nov. 26 (8-6) and Nov. 27 (7-2). The first game was a wild and woolly affair.

Eleven goals; a penalty shot; two Whalers retained their perch in league scoring – all during a 6-5 win for the Whalers over the Chilliwack Jets.

A slapshot from North Vancouver Wolf Pack defenceman Jonathan Soares clanked off the post and in with 1:28 left on the clock. The Wolf Pack rallied to defeat the Whalers 3-2.
